All Roads Lead to Rome… Including yours! Benvenuti a Roma!

Notre Dame’s summer program in Rome, Italy is located throughout the capital city of Rome, an ancient city with nearly three million people. Rome is the eternal city, a place where countless artists, poets, writers, generals, film writers/producers, leaders, popes, fashion designers, engineers, architects, and martyrs have called home for nearly 30 centuries. The Vatican, with its masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael, showcases the Pieta, the Sistine Chapel, the Bernini Fountains, and the Renaissance Architecture of St. Peter’s Basilica, along with numerous other treasures and antiquities.

This program will take students on a journey through the city’s storied landscape while introducing them to contemporary Italian culture. Students will choose two courses from the four courses offered. As a student in Rome, you will find yourself in one of the most stimulating environments available to any undergraduate student in the world. Students throughout the city congregate in local cafes or head to local trattorias for a pizza, panino, or dish of pasta.
